The Albanian Orthodox Church once again expressed its disagreement with the process of granting autocephaly to the OCU from the Phanar. It is reported by romfea.gr.
The Albanian Church emphasized that the granting of Ukrainian autocephaly did not bring peace or unity, while the consequences of this decision were "unfavorable for the whole of Orthodoxy."
In addition, the statement of the Synod says that “all cases of schism, like various diseases, cannot be overcome with the same treatment, but each one needs their own”, therefore one should not compare the autocephaly of the Albanian Church and the Tomos of the OCU.
Recall that in January 2021, the Albanian Church stated it had not changed its position on the OCU.
