UOC Primate blesses all eparchies to take part in the control of pandemic

On March 23, 2020, the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine signed a circular in which he blessed all dioceses to take part in activities to combat the spread of coronavirus. This was announced by the UOC Information and Education Department.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry blessed all the dioceses of the UOC to provide financial assistance to medical institutions, as well as to purchase or make medical masks for free distribution.

Volunteers of the diocesan youth organizations should help in the delivery of masks, medicines and other essentials to elderly people who are at risk of contracting the coronavirus.

Dioceses are obliged to inform the Office of the Kiev Metropolis by March 31, 2020 about the work done.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that students of the gold sewing department of the Odessa Theological Seminary have already begun making medical masks.
