The head of the UOC Legal Department, archpriest Oleksandr Bakhov, believes that the "Quarter 95" episode creates conditions for a civil conflict.
The priest said this at a press conference of the UOC, which is taking place at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The head of the legal department believes that the "Quarter 95" episode not only offends the feelings of believers but also creates preconditions for a civil conflict because it "marks the UOC priests as enemies of the people”.
Archpriest Oleksandr recalled that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been engaged in charitable activities since the first days of the war and has been aiding both combat victims and soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, stories such as the one shown by "Quarter 95" disrupt the internal unity of the state, which is very important during the war.
Earlier, the head of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, commenting on the “Quarter 95” episode, stressed that it was our sacred duty to speak out against blasphemy.
