On December 19, 2022, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk transferred the Vladimir Church of the UOC, located in the parliament building, to the use of the OCU. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada wrote about this on his Facebook page.
On the same day, Epifaniy Dumenko also performed the first "prayer service" in the church.
“There should be a Ukrainian church in the Ukrainian Parliament. From now on, this Temple is open to all Ukrainian churches, which prove loyal and devoted to the Ukrainian People and pray for Ukraine and our Victory,” Stefanchuk said.
Recall that in 2017, the Vladimir Church, located in the building of the Verkhovna Rada at 3 Sadova Street, was closed, this being explained by the fact that the “symbol of the propaganda machine” had no place in the Rada.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk announced the adoption of a resolution ensuring the protection of the OCU in Crimea.
