The members of the Holy Synod at the meeting, which took place on December 20, 2022, discussed the artificially increased hostility towards the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“In the diocesan administrations, churches and monasteries of our Church, as well as the bishops and clergy, searches are being carried out, as a result of which some leaflets are discovered, which never existed, or symbols that can discredit the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” the final document of the Synod says.

The UOC noted that for the first time in the history of Ukraine, “personal” sanctions were illegally and unjustifiably applied against the UOC clergy, thus blocking the activities of entire dioceses.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC announced the amount of assistance to the army and refugees.
