At a meeting with pilgrims from Volyn at St. George's Church of the Phanar, Patriarch Bartholomew has signed an official petition of the Volyn Eparchy of the OCU to switch to the New Julian calendar, reports Lutsk journalist Andriy Hnatiuk on his Facebook page.
Hnatiuk published a video in which the head of the Phanar condemned the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine and also said that the Patriarchate of Constantinople plans to ordain one of the OCU "deacons" as a priest to spiritually guide the Ukrainians of Istanbul.
As earlier reported, Patriarch Bartholomew received a "hierarch" of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Mykhaylo Zinkevych.
