At least some of the participants in today's "worship" led by Epifaniy Dumenko in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra were brought to the capital from the regions in an organized manner. Most of those present, who were interviewed by Channel 5, turned out to be from Rivne.
“I saw an invitation that they were gathering people, and I decided to support, to go,” Myroslava, a Rivne resident, said.
“There are a lot of us, three buses,” another guest from Rivne, Natalia, shared with the journalist. “Maybe you can cut it out later—maybe I shouldn’t have said it.”
Earlier, Archpriest Mykolai Danylevych, commenting on the absence of parishioners in the churches of the OCU, noted that would also be the case with the Assumption and Refectory churches of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra: “I think the same awaits the Upper Lavra: they will gather people for the first service, a hype, an info wave, and then the same will happen as at St. Sofia’s and St. Theodosius’s, which remain empty for the most part."
