On May 5, 2020, blogger Alexander Voznesensky drew attention to the fact that activists of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, who on the eve tried to illegally seize the UOC church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Zadubrovka in the Chernivtsi Region, use pagan symbols.

“What an interesting symbolism is used by the OCU actors who are trying to take over the temple in Zadubrivka ... This is the main photo on their page,” Voznesensky wrote on his Facebook page.

He also attached to his post a screenshot of the cover photo of “Parishioners of vlg. Zadubrivka” group on Facebook.

The photograph shows the church of Archangel Michael, on top of which in the upper left corner there is a pagan symbol "Ladinets".

“The symbol means: love, the establishment of the inner and outer peace,” the site “Slaviane” explained the meaning of this symbol.

“Really not pagans?” commented the Chernivtsi-Bukovina Eparchy of the UOC on the actions of the OCU activists on its Telegram channel.

On May 4, 2020, an attack by the OCU activists on the UOC church in honor of the Archangel Michael in Zadubrivka began. During the conflict, the believers of the canonical Church, who came to defend their church, were seriously injured. The parishioners of the canonical Church managed to defend their temple, but several believers of the UOC were hospitalized with serious injuries, one of them had to undergo an eye surgery.
