Dumenko: We’re working so that Pat Theodoros can serve in his Odesa church

At a thanksgiving service on the occasion of his visit to Alexandria, the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, expressed the hope that Patriarch Theodoros would serve in his “native church” (Trinity Cathedral – Ed.) in Odessa, reports pomisna.info.
“The city of Odessa was the place of your ministry and remains forever in your soul. And although it was in danger from the beginning of the great aggression, I believe that also thanks to your holy prayers, the Lord protects it to this day. And that blessed day will come when Your Beatitude will again be able to set foot on your native land and offer prayers in your native temple, which we also pray for and will continue to work on it,” said Dumenko.
Recall that Patriarch Theodoros lived in Odessa for 10 years and served in the Trinity Cathedral, in which until April 1, 1999 there was a metochion of the Alexandria Church. In September 2018, Patriarch Theodoros visited Odesa, where he concelebrated with Metropolitan Agafangel in the Trinity Cathedral and also called for loyalty to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and the canonical UOC.
As the UOJ previously reported, Dumenko "concelebrated" with the Patriarch of Alexandria in Egypt for the first time.
