Alexandrian Patriarch Theodore lamented that the majority of Orthodox Churches are "silent" about the creation of the ROC Exarchate in Africa, parapolitika.gr reports.

In an interview with the publication, Patriarch Theodore, accusing the Moscow Patriarchate of authoritarianism and a desire to "monarchically pull the Orthodox Church under its authority", stated that the actions to create the Exarchate in Africa are undermining "fraternal unity" and challenging "centuries-old church norms and sacred canons".

"The Alexandrian Patriarchate, acting within the framework of canonical tradition, has taken all canonical measures and condemned the unorthodox actions of the Moscow Patriarchate in Africa, informing all Orthodox Churches, most of which remain silent," lamented Patriarch Theodore.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Phanar expressed full support to the Alexandrian Patriarchate in its struggle against the ROC.
