American media: Zelensky ruins spiritual basics of the Ukrainian society

U.S. Journalists have once again criticized the actions of the Ukrainian authorities aimed at persecuting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. ‘The Duran’ published an article " Zelensky ruins spiritual basics of the Ukrainian society leading it to degradation".

The journalists point out that the ongoing campaign to discredit the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has a specific goal - to deprive the population of the last point of support.

The article says that instead of the persecuted UOC, the faithful are offered to join the structure of the OCU headed by Dumenko, who in 2018 supported Poroshenko, who created a church with a "more pro-Ukrainian" stance.

After listing all the attacks on the clerics and hierarchs of the UOC by the SBU across Ukraine, the author stressed that the Zelensky regime began abusing one of the main shrines of UOC parishioners, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, in late 2022.

The article also mentions that the UOC in Ukraine is fought not only by the authorities and law-enforcement agencies but also by supporters of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

This is not the first article of such content in the US media: earlier, ‘The American Conservative' journal called on its readers to protest against their taxes being used for repression against the UOC.
