On July 19, 2020, the leader of the “European Solidarity” party, Petro Poroshenko, together with his wife Maryna, prayed in Zarvanytsia with representatives of the UGCC, reports “Glavcom”.
According to the former president of Ukraine, “today is a historic day. Because today is the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first pilgrimage to Zarvanytsia, which Myroslav-Ivan Lubachivsky made here, in this holy place."
Poroshenko stressed that he is "firmly convinced" that "the Lord protects Ukraine". “The truth is with us, God is with us, and we will endure everything,” said the ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to Vadim Novinsky, Poroshenko easily betrayed the Church because he was not a true parishioner.
