The Primate of the UOC, responding to a question from a UOJ correspondent on what to do for those who are ready to defend the Lavra, urged the faithful to defend the shrine and pray.

"I appeal to all our believers not to fall for provocations, to behave with dignity. They have the right to express their position. But all this must be within the framework of state laws and spiritual culture. Let them not fall for provocations, and not respond in the same manner to the people who treat them rudely and disrespectfully. Let them respect everyone but stand their ground: pray to God and protect their shrines," said His Beatitude.

As earlier reported, His Beatitude urged the faithful to fervent prayer.
