On August 10, on the territory of the Holy Dormition Church of the UOC in the village of Dilove of the Rakhiv district, Transcarpathian region, another church conflict took place: several unknown people gathered here to persuade the local community to transfer the church to the OCU, reports "Pershij" with reference to the broadcast on social networks that covered the events.
The parishioners of the UOC church who gathered on the territory of the temple spoke about the manipulations with the lists formed to transfer the parish to the OCU, as well as that many of those who signed for the OCU either have never gone to church at all or have already returned to the community, realizing that they were deceived.
“They made it up, there was no meeting, neither the head nor the secretary was elected – nothing,” testified the parishioners of the UOC community in vlg. Dilove.
Also, local residents once again stated that the Holy Dormition Church belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and the "official transfer" made is considered illegal. It is not the first time that several hundred parishioners have come to defend their church.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the re-registration of the UOC community in the village of Dilove was carried out with the help of the officials, who obtained under false pretenses the statutory documents from the priest. The temple remains at the disposal of the UOC community.
As reported the Khust Eparchy of the UOC denied the statement of the OCU representatives about the transfer of the community of the Holy Dormition Church in the village of Dilove of the Rakhiv district, Transcarpathian region. The disinformation about the transfer of the community in Dilove appeared on the website of the Transcarpathian Eparchy of the OCU on June 28, 2020. The documentation published – an excerpt from the register of legal entities and the register of rights to real estate – dates back to 2019, when the district tried to increase the number of transfers to the schismatic structure.
