In the village of Borochyche, Volyn region, raiders of the OCU forged documents and took away the church from the UOC community while their priest is at the front.
Father Yuri Zarafutdinov, rector of the St. Elijah community, said this on his Facebook page.
"For the parishioners of the St. Elijah Church of the UOC – other shocking news from fellow villagers and parishioners of the St. Nicholas community of the OCU. "The priest stayed with the MP...did not defect...". Ow!!! The rector of the temple is currently at the front. He was not invited to the meeting because he was not there. Didn't hear about the transfer from the parishioners because they were praying in the temple on Sunday. And as for the fact that the parishioners of the neighbouring St. Nicholas Church of the OCU decided instead of me and the parishioners, it is a fake document ... GOD SEES ALL. It is only correct to write that the community members. But a religious community and a territorial community are two different things ...," says Fr Yuri in his post.
It is noteworthy that the Volyn "eparchy" of the OCU is not the first to report the "transfer" of the St. Elias Church community in the village of Borochyche to the OCU, as Archpriest Yuri Zarafutdinov stressed.
"So which registration is correct and what is this game of thrones???", the rector added, to "refresh the memory", because since 2020, the representatives of the OCU "have been doing everything possible, by right and wrong, to get their way".
As earlier reported, in Volyn, the OCU is taking away a church while its rector is fighting in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
