On August 23, 2020, representatives of the Antiochian Patriarchate held a joint divine service with the hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and took part in the consecration of a new bishop of the UOC. Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy head of the UOC DECR, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Today the guests from the Patriarchate of Antioch, Metropolitan Basil of Akkar and Archimandrite Alexy, concelebrated with our Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, together with other hierarchs of the UOC, in the Holy Panteleimon Church in Feofania and participated in the consecration of a new bishop of our Church, Bishop Silouan of Hertsa,” informed Father Nikolai.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to the Primate of the Church of Antioch, Patriarch John X, recognition of the OCU is unacceptable.
