On June 4, 2023, the community of the UOC Intercession Church in Syniak celebrated a festive Liturgy on the Holy Trinity Day in a tent, in front of the closed gates of their own church," sources in the community told the UOJ.
The Intercession of the Holy Mary Church has been standing sealed off since early May, when local authorities, led by village head Vira Marchenko, held a "religious community meeting" at the local club while the community itself was attending the service. At the "meeting", the authorities transferred the church to the OCU and sealed it.
According to the parishioners, there are no people in the village willing to attend OCU "services", so the church is simply closed.
As reported, the authorities sealed up the UOC church in Syniak near Kyiv.
