The adopted children of Metropolitan Longin, most of whom are disabled, recorded a video message to Volodymyr Zelensky urging him to stop the repressions against their father. The video was posted on the YouTube channel of the Bancheny Monastery.
“We, the children of a great man, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, appeal to you with a big request – save our dad, do not judge him. Because our dad does great good deeds for us. He feeds us, gives us water, gives us everything we need. But most importantly, he gives us love. He teaches us to love both God and people, and our native Ukraine,” said one of the Metropolitan’s sons.
“We bow low to you, and we ask and beg you – leave our dad alone. We love him. For us, he is protection, support, love. He is the most valuable thing we have in this life. We have physical handicaps, but we feel very good with him,” he added.
Turning to their father, his children said all together, “Our dear dad, we love and respect you very much. And we want you to always be with us. We pray that God will protect you from all evil.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Metropolitan Longin was told about Romania's and Moldova's support for him.
