On June 25, 2023, OCU raiders captured the lower church of the Archangel Michael in Bilohorodka village, Kyiv region.
This was reported in the "Dozor. Kozak1” telegram channel.
“The parishioners and clergy of the temple, who built and cherished the shrine with their own hands, are now not allowed into the territory of their own church. The police, which literally covered up the raider seizure of the church, said that Orthodox Christians ‘may wait for the court's decision in another place’," the report said.
The raiders of the OCU came to the temple of the UOC by 6 in the morning. After several hours of confrontation, the believers of the UOC decided to serve the liturgy in the unfinished church.
Later, the defenders of the temple, who were detained by the police, were released.
“Of course, no charges were brought against OCU activists and their cleric Vasyl Chuprovsky for attacks on parishioners. But those who stood up for their brothers and sisters are charged with an administrative offense,” the message added.
Recall that on January 12, 2023, supporters of the OCU seized the upper church in honor of the Archangel Michael of God in the village of Bilohorodka, Kyiv region.
As previously reported by the UOJ, supporters of the OCU seized the Archangel Michael Church in Bilohorodka.
