Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra aids low-income families in Kyiv region

The Department of Social Service of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra donated stationery, children's clothes, toys, sweets and strollers for small children to needy families in the Kyiv region, reports the Lavra website.
Employees of the Social Department of the monastery, headed by Hierodeacon Filaret, visited small settlements in the Kyiv region, talked with the сare recipients and donated aid.
The brethren of the monastery continue to provide assistance to large families, the poor, people with disabilities and encourages non-indifferent people to donate to those in need.
The Social Department of the Lavra collects required school supplies, school bags, backpacks, clothes and shoes for schoolchildren.
