Employees of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs handed over humanitarian aid to 300 displaced families and low-income residents of Kyiv, which was purchased with the support of the Vidin Diocese of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and Metropolitan Daniel of Vidin, reports the Telegram channel of the UOC Social-Humanitarian Department.
On July 1, 2023, 200 displaced families received food packages and hygiene products at the Resurrection Memorial Church for the Martyrs and Veterans of Afghanistan. The next day, humanitarian aid was handed over to another 100 refugee families and low-income parishioners at Sts. Constantine and St. Helen Church.
The Social-Humanitarian Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church notes that 60 thousand hryvnias are needed to buy each batch of aid and asks for support from the benefactors.
