UOC bishop calls to prayer for victims died in plane crash near Kharkiv

Archbishop Jonah called on his Facebook page to pray for the cadets tragically killed in a plane crash, which took place two kilometres from the airfield of the town of Chuhuiv, near Kharkiv.

“God rest boys !!! A plane with cadets crashed near Kharkiv, ”Vladyka wrote.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs on its Facebook page reports that the tragedy occurred at 20:50. There were 28 people on board the AN-26. At the moment, it is known about 22 cadets and crew members who tragically died in a crash.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced the creation of a commission to investigate the tragedy.
