On July 8, 2023, together with the head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, Zelensky prayed at an ecumenical prayer service in Lviv. The video of the event was published on Zelensky's telegram channel.
"Lviv. Prayer for Ukraine. For victory, for a just peace, for the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state,” the message reads.
The footage shows that the head of the OCU is reading something aloud from a piece of paper, his voice drowned out by the press service of the President with music. Next to Dumenko are the Lviv "hierarchs" of the OCU Makary Maletich and Dmytro Rudiuk, the Lviv Metropolitan of the UGCC Ihor Vozniak, representatives of the Catholic, Protestant, Armenian Church, and Muslims.
At the end, Zelensky, Yermak and other government officials took turns shaking hands with representatives of religious denominations.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zelensky prayed at a “commemoration prayer” in the Phanar.
