While standing near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the icon of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki began to stream myrrh.

This was reported in the Lavra Live telegram channel.

“The icon of Demetrius of Thessaloniki is a shrine of our organization, which was presented to the children of mercy by the ruling bishop in Thessaloniki. We were given an icon, myrrh, this icon accompanies us everywhere, on all trips, in all religious processions with children. Today, while standing and reading the akathist to Archangel Michael, our ward came up and said that the icon was streaming myrrh,” believers of the UOC said.

Believers added that a fragrance emanates from the icon.

As the UOJ reported earlier, hundreds of believers of the UOC were not allowed to attend services in the Lavra on time.
