Poroshenko's "Eurosolidarity" MP Iryna Gerashchenko commented on the destruction of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the UOC in Odessa on her Facebook.

She recalled that the destroyed cathedral was once consecrated by Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church, and said that it "remained the centre of the Moscow Church of the region".

"And while Ukraine is coddling Moscow priests, Moscow is destroying and demolishing churches. And we still do not have the political will to ban this nest," Gerashchenko made an unexpected conclusion.

As earlier reported, Gerashchenko said, "European integration has become our religion."
