Zelensky: Odesa's Transfiguration Cathedral destroyed by Russian X-22 missile

On July 23, 2023, in an evening video address on his YouTube channel, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Transfiguration Cathedral of the UOC in Odesa was destroyed by a Russian X-22 missile.
"Tonight (July 23 – Ed.), a Russian missile, specifically an X-22 anti-ship missile, hit the altar of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa, one of the most valuable cathedrals in Ukraine," Zelensky said.
He reminded that in 1936, the cathedral was destroyed by the Bolsheviks, and it was later restored during independent Ukraine. "And now, terrorists are trying to destroy it again," the President said.
As reported, the UOC's Cathedral of Odessa was destroyed by a missile strike.
