Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople is going to Rome to participate in an interfaith meeting. This was announced on October 15, 2020 by the Greek website ΦΩΣ ΦΑΝΑΡΙΟΥ.

According to the resource, the visit of the head of Phanar to Rome will begin on October 19.

On October 20, he will take part in an interfaith meeting organized by the Community of Saint Aegidius. “No one is saved alone – Peace and Brotherhood” was announced as the main theme of the event.

As part of the visit, Patriarch Bartholomew is scheduled to meet with the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis.

In addition, according to the resource, on October 21, the head of the Patriarchate of Constantinople will take part in the event of the Pontifical Antonian University, during which he will be awarded the title of honorary doctor of philosophy. The event will be streamed online.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the head of Phanar praised the RCC for "ecumenical initiatives" in Ukraine.
