Vladimir Zelensky and his wife Elena visited the St. George church in Phanar. A video about the event is posted on the Facebook page of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

In honor of the President of Ukraine, a prayer service was served. The divine service was led by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Gaul. The prayer service was held in Greek. At the end of the service, several women in Ukrainian costumes sang wishes for long life to Vladimir Zelensky, as well as “Oh, Ukraine! Oh, dear mother" song.

We will remind that during the previous visit to Phanar on August 8, 2019, Vladimir Zelensky refused to sign a joint statement prepared in advance by the Patriarchate of Constantinople in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry.
