The Odesa Eparchy has showcased the ongoing restoration of the cathedral destroyed by a missile strike. In a video posted on the Eparchy's Facebook page, Archpriest Maximian Pogorelovsky explained the main work is being done to restore the roof of the cathedral so that the rains do not damage what is still intact inside the temple.

According to him, many people say that the war is not the best time to restore the cathedral. To all critics, he replies that the current work is simply a conservation of the temple in its current state so that it can withstand the winter.

The eparchy spokesperson also said that UNESCO specialists are working in the cathedral and are carefully recording all the damage to the cathedral for a final report.

As reported, a UNESCO mission arrived in Odesa to assess the damage to the cathedral of the UOC.
