Poroshenko expects OCU to celebrate Easter "according to European calendar"

On July 27, 2023, during a session of the Verkhovna Rada, MP Petro Poroshenko stated that he expects decisions from the OCU to distance itself from Moscow, specifically referring to the transition to celebrating Easter "according to the traditional European calendar". Poroshenko posted a video of his speech on his Facebook page.
"We expect the Local Council of the OCU to make a decision to take another step away from Moscow, on celebrating Christmas and Easter according to the traditional European calendar," said Poroshenko.
He did not specify which calendar exactly he meant by "traditional European".
As reported, the OCU switched to a new calendar style.
