On August 2, 2023, the OCU seized the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC. This was stated on Facebook by the “priest”-deputy Mykola Hopainych.
“Today we climbed through the window and are now trying to open this shrine so that everyone can enter here,” Hopainych said.
The Nicholas Church is located near the Transfiguration Cathedral, which Hopainych and his group seized on July 10. On that occasion, several "priests" used a sledgehammer, a crowbar, a grinder, and a chainsaw to destroy the cathedral's doors.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zoria reported the seizure of the UOC Cathedral in Bila Tserkva.
