UOC cross procession to Pochaiv enters Ternopil region

On the night of August 25, 2023, the UOC processionists were able to enter the territory of the Ternopil region. Footage with pilgrims in the Ternopil region was published by the Telegram channel “Patrol on the First Cossack”.

At the entrance to the Ternopil region, the pilgrims were encountered by local activists who shouted “murderers” slogans and cursed the believers.

In addition, the police officers offered the parishioners of the UOC to return, referring to the decision of the Ternopil Regional State Administration to ban the religious procession in the region.

According to the UOJ, about 10,000 people are walking in the procession to date.

As reported by the UOJ, the Legal Department of the UOC stated that the religious procession can only be banned in court.
