"Acting abbot of the OCU Lavra" Avraamiy Lotysh is an employee of the Reserve who receives a salary there, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra said.
Avraamiy Lotysh gained access to the Lavra residence of Metropolitan Onufriy in his capacity as an employee of the Reserve.
"At the moment, there is no contract between the Reserve and the OCU monastery, and Archimandrite Avraamiy (Lotysh) himself is a staff member of the Reserve, which pays him a salary, although the Lavra brethren have never received any state salaries. Therefore, Archimandrite Avraamiy (Lotysh) has access to the sealed premises of the Monastery and uses the residence of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church not as an 'acting head' but as an ordinary employee of the Reserve," the statement said.
As reported, a video circulating on the internet showed the "acting head" of the OCU entering the building of Metropolitan Onuphry in the Lavra.
