Athonite Elder Gabriel on those who seize UOC temples: They won’t be saved!
Elder Gabriel of Karyes
According to elder Gabriel, modern persecutors of the Church in Ukraine "will be condemned on Judgment Day alongside those who persecuted Christians from the early centuries of Christianity".
In a conversation with pilgrims from Ukraine, Elder Gabriel, when asked about the fate of those who take away UOC believers' temples, stated that "they will not be saved".
He also mentioned that contemporary persecutors of the Church in Ukraine "will be condemned on Judgment Day alongside those who persecuted Christians from the early centuries of Christianity".
The Athonite elder called upon the faithful of the UOC to practice patience and prayer.
As earlier reported, a Greek bishop stated that believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are being persecuted.
