On October 11, 2023, the Jewish community of Obolon in Kyiv organized a prayer rally in the capital in support of the Israeli and Ukrainian peoples. This was reported by the community's press service.
The event took place near the building of the Obolon District Administration and was attended by about 100 people.
People participated in the rally with flags of Ukraine and Israel, and during the prayer, they recited the Psalms of David.
After the collective prayer, participants of the event lit candles arranged in the shape of the Star of David.
During the rally, the Jewish community also collected funds to support the Israeli army and those affected by the HAMAS attack.
As reported by the UOJ, HAMAS claimed that the attack on Israel was aimed at liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
