Ukrainian MP Solomiya Bobrovska from the Holos party called from the Rada rostrum to vote for bill No 8371, which bans the activities of religious organisations affiliated with the aggressor state and is essentially aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The video of this speech was posted by the Rada TV channel.

"If you do not press the "button" today – shame on you! Your name will be known in all cities and villages of Ukraine. Because you are encouraging the creation of an agent network of the Russian Federation," Bobrovska argued her call.

She also quoted the charges brought by the court against the representatives of the UOC and stated that these are already sentences for the hierarchs of the Church.

As reported, on 19 October 2023, the Verkhovna Rada passed in the first reading the government bill No. 8371, which provides for the ban of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
