Zinkevich: Nearly all ex-members of UOC-KP still communicate with Filaret

Lutsk "metropolitan" of the OCU Mikhail Zinkevich said that almost all the "bishops" of the OCU, who used to be in the UOC-KP, including Zinkevich himself, continue to communicate with Filaret.

He stated this in an interview with the PavlovskyNEWS Telegram channel.

Mikhail Zinkevich also said that there is still no unity within the OCU.

“Since the OCU was created from three different branches (UOC-KP, UAOC and several priests of the UOC), even two years later there is no single vision of how the church should exist,” Zinkevich said.

Zinkevich has been the “bishop” of the OCU since 2019, before that, from 2004 to 2018, he was the UOC-KP “metropolitan” of Lutsk and Volyn.

Recall that on December 15, 2018, there was held the so-called "Unification Council", where the OCU was formed. Zinkevich was one of the main contenders for the post of its head. However, after the ultimatum, Filaret had to withdraw his candidacy. As the UOJ previously reported, Filaret asked Bogdan to abandon the "offensive clichés invented by the OCU".
