On 26 October 2023, believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continued their daily prayer standing near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Telegram channel KozakTv1.
"Orthodox Christians every day gather to pray at the holy walls of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra,” noted in the message. “Today, even despite the rain and cold, the believers are participating in the prayer standing. They do not leave the monastery".
The service at the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was led by the rector of the Cross Exaltation Church, Archpriest Valery Kravets with a host of priests.
At the end of the service, one of the anti-church "activists" who regularly commit offences near the Lavra tried to provoke the faithful.
As reported, one of the UOC believers told KozakTv1 that he comes to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra at least three times a week to participate in the prayer standing.
