A video has emerged online providing evidence of how the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) falsified a case against Metropolitan Jonathan of Tulchyn and Bratslav, by planting leaflets during a search.
Met. Jonathan's lawyer, Ihor Chudovsky, explained that during the search, an SBU officer planted several leaflets, which were later used as "evidence" of the hierarch's guilt in court.
In the video, which Chudovsky thoroughly analyzed, it is evident that someone from the SBU placed a stack of documents on a plastic chair in the room where Metropolitan Jonathan was located. Several minutes later, the chair was moved closer to the hierarch, and the materials planted by the SBU officer were examined. Among the papers, there were leaflets, including a "prayer for the President of Russia," which were attributed to Metropolitan Jonathan during the trial.
Chudovsky pointed out that the text of the leaflets "discovered" in the hierarch's house appeared on his computer four days after the search.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Metropolitan Jonathan's lawyer, the "evidence" of the hierarch's guilt was artificially created.
