On November 9, 2023, security forces, accompanied by dozens of armed servicemen, cordoned off the territory of the Bancheny Monastery of the UOC in the Chernivtsi region. A priest near the monastery's entrance informed the UOJ about this.

According to him, the security forces are demanding access to the monastery's territory to "check the documents of the monastery and identify the people present there."

He also noted that law enforcement officials have no court decisions authorizing activities in the monastery.

In the published footage, it can be seen that the children of Metropolitan Longin, clergy, and parishioners of the monastery have come out to defend the shrine.

Recall that the security forces arrived at the Bancheny Monastery with an order to mobilize the monks.

As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Longin suffered a severe stroke.
