On November 23, 2023, the Appellate Court of Kyiv postponed the consideration of the case regarding the eviction of monks from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra until December 21. In an announcement published on the Telegram channel "Lavra Now", the lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, informed about the delay.

According to him, the reason for rescheduling the court session was the illness of one of the participants, who submitted a corresponding motion to the court.

Presumably, this concerns Archdeacon Pavlo, the head of the Lavra, who, on the eve of the hearing, stated in his Telegram channel that he could not participate in the court process due to illness.

"In addition, there have been changes in the composition of the court in the case. The judges need time to familiarize themselves. The next court hearing is scheduled for December 21, 2023," he said.

As reported by the UOJ, the Economic Court granted the Lavra's claim against the monastery and allowed the eviction of monks from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
