Head of Phanar prays with Catholic Bishop of Naples

On November 23, 2023, the head of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople, Patriarch Bartholomew, took part in an ecumenical prayer together with the Catholic Bishop of Naples, reports the website fosfanariou.gr.

On the first day of his visit to Italy, where he arrived to receive the award of an “honorary doctor” from the Pontifical University, Patriarch Bartholomew visited the Catholic Church of Naples, where a joint prayer took place with Catholics.

After the ecumenical prayer service, Patriarch Bartholomew presented the Bishop of the RCC of Naples with a censer.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Bartholomew told Catholics about the condition of unity between the Phanar and the ROC.
