On 10 December 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky, together with the OP head Andriy Yermak and Ukrainian diplomats, visited the inauguration of the new president of Argentina, Javier Milei. The Ukrainian leader congratulated Milei on his election to office and wished him "and the entire Argentine people to surprise the world with their successes". Zelensky wrote about it on his Telegram channel.
Argentine YouTube channel Todo Noticias livestreamed the inauguration. The footage shows that when Zelensky came to congratulate Milei, the latter warmly embraced him and then presented him with a Hanukkah menorah as a gift.
As earlier reported, Zelensky lit a menorah with Jews in the Office of the President.
