Court to hear Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra's appeal against monks' eviction decision

On December 21, 2023, at 11:00, the Northern Appellate Economic Court (1 Sholudenko Street, Kyiv) will consider the appellate complaint of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the decision of the first-instance court regarding the eviction of monks from the Lower Lavra. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the lawyer of the monastery, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.

"We ask for your support, we ask for holy prayers," he addressed the believers. "With God's help, we will withstand these trials. May the Lord help us through the prayers of His holy servants!"

As reported by the UOJ, on August 10, 2023, the Economic Court of Kyiv granted the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" lawsuit against the monastery and allowed the expulsion of monks from the monastery.
