UOC Chancellor reports on the number of UOC parishes abroad

On 26 December 2023, the UOC Chancellor Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary revealed how many parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church operate abroad, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

As of the end of the calendar year, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has 58 parishes and 26 pastoral centres abroad – 84 communities in total.

Parishes and missions of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Abroad operate in 15 countries of Western Europe, namely in Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Hungary, France, Switzerland and Sweden.

All these communities are part of the Western European Vicariate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which was established in March 2023.

As earlier reported, the UOC community in Nuremberg celebrated its first Throne Feast.
