Opendatabot shows how many UOC communities are moved to OCU since Feb 2022

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, 589 religious communities of the UOC have transitioned to the OCU. This information is provided by data published on the Opendatabot website.

According to the website, as of today, 8,193 UOC communities are operating in territories controlled by Ukraine. The largest number of UOC churches are registered in Donetsk Oblast – 683, Vinnytsia – 534, Dnipropetrovsk – 527, and Khmelnytskyi – 506.

It was also noted that the most "transitions" from the UOC to the OCU occurred in Kyiv Oblast – 138, Khmelnytskyi – 125, and Vinnytsia – 67.

As reported by the UOJ a member of parliament stated that a state waging war against the Church always loses, and seized churches and monasteries will inevitably return to the bosom of the UOC.
