On 27 December 2023, the OCU believer Dmytro Kukharchuk, who beat parishioners and clerics of the UOC Convent of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Cherkasy, celebrated the "Day of the Dead" and wrote on his Telegram channel that this day is "the most significant date of the year".

According to Kukharchuk, on the "Day of the Dead" he "gains new strength and desire to avenge" those who died in the current year and are "our morality, conscience and honour".

The published photos show several dozen people in military uniforms with torches in their hands standing in front of a lit bonfire and a cauldron.

As reported, raiders in Cherkasy broke the jaw of a UOC priest. MP Artem Dmytruk identified the raiders of the UOC Convent in Cherkasy.
