On February 20, 2021, the community of the Dormition temple of the UOC in the village of Mikhalcha, Chernivtsi region, was once again attacked by OCU activists who have been trying to seize the temple, the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese reports on its Facebook page and publishes a video of the provocation.

“Today, the renovationists of the OCU again began a provocation near the church in honor of the Holy Dormition of the Mother of God in the village of Mikhalcha of the Storozhinets deanery. They deliberately left the tent and approached the stone cross, took out the flag (after all, without it, God does not hear the Renovationists, in their opinion), began blathering in Ukrainian. Also, the renovationists of the OCU began to push away the priest of the UOC Sergei,” the diocese said in its statement.

The Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese believes that the actions of the OCU activists are provoked by the fact that they are bored of “praying” in their tent and waiting for a court decision, they are hungry for adrenaline, since they do not receive the grace of the Holy Spirit.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC community in Mikhalcha celebrated the anniversary of its two-year of prayer standing for its church.
