On February 20, 2021, the head of Phanar, Patriarch Bartholomew, announced that one of the priorities of the Patriarchate of Constantinople is interreligious dialogue, reports Romfea publication.
Addressing Metropolitan Emmanuel (Adamakis) on the occasion of his appointment to the Chalcedonian See, Patriarch Bartholomew emphasized his "valuable contribution to the promotion of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogues being one of the priorities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate."
The head of Phanar also stated that the "Orthodox testimony to European institutions in Brussels", carried out by Metropolitan Emmanuel on behalf of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, "was violated due to the incoherent creation of many branches representing various Orthodox Autocephalous Churches."
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to the head of Phanar, those calling ecumenism as heresy break the unity of the Church.
