On 7 January 2024, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry officiated at the festive Liturgy of the Nativity of Christ held at the Lavra’s Church of St. Agapitus of the Caves, reports the UOC press service.

Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, Metropolitan Joasaph of Vasylkiv, Bishop Lavr of Irpen, Bishop Mark of Borodianka, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka and the clergy of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra concelebrated with the Primate.

At the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in our land, for the Lord’s blessing to the Ukrainian people, for the deliverance of the enemy, and for the warriors who are defending Ukraine.

At the end of the divine service, an office of praise was performed before an icon of the Nativity of Christ.

The Primate greeted the flock on the Feast of the Nativity of Christ and handed out Christmas gifts to children and adults.

As earlier reported, His Beatitude Onuphry addressed Ukrainians with the Christmas Message.
